In order to expedite your order, we ask that all artwork provided to FiF Marketing electronically be formatted as shown below. The specifications are based on the promotional product industry standards and should be familiar to your graphic designer. We are able to accept Mac or PC-based files as long as they conform to the guidelines below.

We will resize your artwork to fit the product’s imprint area specification for no charge.

If you don’t have artwork that meets the specifications below, our graphic designers are willing and able to take whatever you have (including the proverbial “napkin” design) and turn it into beautiful electronic artwork suitable for your current need and future projects with FiF. Our graphic design charges are $80/hour (1/2 hour minimum). Send us whatever you have and we will give you a quote.

Acceptable file formats
• Adobe Illustrator 10.0 (or earlier) Preferred – All placed images and fonts must be provided. To avoid typestyle conflicts, type should be converted to outlines.
• Adobe Photoshop 6.0 (or earlier) – For 4-color process only.
• QuarkXpress – 4.1 (or earlier) - All placed images and fonts must be provided.
• Any VECTOR-based .eps file (created in Corel Draw, Freehand or Illustrator) - All placed images and fonts must be provided. To avoid typestyle conflicts, type should be converted to outlines. Formats that probably will not be acceptable without additional work
• Powerpoint graphics, graphics from websites, printed material, embroidered articles, pictures (digital or otherwise) are examples of artwork formats that need additional graphic design work to become acceptable for imprinting your products.

Acceptable ways of sending artwork
• Email: send directly to your sales representative or account specialist – whomever you are working with.
Note: Send any file over 2MB compressed. PLEASE avoid using self-extracting files since our virus protection program flags and deletes these types of files as potentially damaging. We can accept most compression file types – if not .zip or .sit files, please call before sending.
• 3.5” floppy disks; CD’s; DVD; 100mB ZIPdisk.
• We can also arrange to have file transferred by ftp. This is the best way for transferring large files. Call for details.

Images
• ALL placed/imported images used in the artwork (EPS, PICT, TIFF, etc.) MUST be provided.
• Images must be a minimum of 300 dpi of higher.
• Images used in websites will generally not be acceptable for promotional product printing. The resolution is typically 72 dpi and the results would not meet your or our quality standards.

Color
• If more than one color is required, please make sure that the file can be separated into SPOT colors.
• If the artwork file is designed for 4-color process, there may be charges to convert to spot colors. Please call your representative if you have questions.
